Stanley Jordan performed two concerts for KIDS!

KIDS (Kids in Dare Support Organization) hosted a musical performance by internationally acclaimed guitarist Stanley Jordan. The concert was held Saturday, December 11th, from 2-4 pm at First Flight High School Auditorium. The performance was free of charge, however donations were gratefully accepted. Stanley Jordan is a multifaceted musician performing a wide range of instrumentals on guitar and piano. He is also an artist spokesperson for the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA), which explores the effects of music on healing. His cooperative efforts and successful concerts with KIDS have already raised hundreds for local special needs children.

Percy Sedge at Kelly's

Soul legend Percy Sledge will performed at Kelly's Outer Banks Restaurant and Tavern on Friday, September 24. Best known for his hit "When a Man Loves a Woman," released in 1966, Percy's career saw a revival in 1987 when the song was included on the soundtrack of the movie "Platoon." Proceeds from the concert and accompanying art exhibit benefitted the Kids in Dare Support.

Little Feat at Kelly's

Tuesday, May 4, legendary rockers Little Feat performed at a packed Kelly's Outer Banks Restaurant and Tavern, as part of a tour to support their latest album, "Kickin' it at the Barn". Proceeds from the concert and accompanying art exhibit will benefitted the local organization, KIDS.
